tHE Platyhelminthes pHYLUM
There are more than 20,000 species of Platyhelminthes, ranging from creatures that swim in the ocean to parasitic flatworms that live off its host. Flatworms are bilaterally symmetrical with a head and tail region and a centralized nervous system including a brain and nerve cords. Flatworms are hermaphroditic, having both male and female body parts making them capable of both asexual and sexual reproduction.
