Anthropoda
The copious Arthropoda phylum is home to more than three fourths of all currently known living and fossil organisms; more than one million species in all. To demonstrate the diversity of the organisms of the Arthropoda phylum, its members range from microscopic insects, to the multi-legged centipedes, all the way to the flavorful king crab. Despite their differences, the basic body plan of all arthropods is pretty much the same across the board. This basic body plan includes an exoskeleton, a body divided into different parts, bilateral symmetry (meaning both sides of the body are the same), and the jointed legs and appendages that the phylum gets its name from. Those jointed legs and appendages allow for an large amount of body part customization, as they can be transformed into antennae, parts of the mouth, and reproductive organs.
