Ditylenchus dipsaci
D. dipsaci is a migratory endoparasite that feeds upon tissue in stems and bulbs, causing the breakdown of the cell walls. Feeding often causes swellings and distortion of plant parts (stems, leaves, flowers) and rotting of stem bases, bulbs, tubers and rhizomes. D. dipsaci is known to attack over 450 different plant species, including many weeds.
